Alright, at this point you should know the drill. Because I have already read so much this year I have decided to break my favorite annual post (my reading list) into a monthly series. You can also keep up with Hunkiedorië this year as I release more book content than I have in the past. Let me know what you think, do you have any suggestions on what I should read next?

Before you get started on this list I know this month looks like a large number of books, but in reality I was able to read a few books a day in some cases, the novella’s and many of Ruby Dixons books can be read in 3-4 hours (or less).

I have really fallen in love with Ruby Dixon’s work, they are the best little happily ever after stories that just make your heart soar with every read. I will say that all of the covers for her Ice Planet Barbarian (IPB) and Icehome (IH) books or super SUPER tacky which I cringed away from and as a result purchased a Kindle (which I am now obsessed with). But, her books are beginning to be released with gorgeous new cover art and you better believe I preorder them as soon as they become available!

ALSO, shout out to the girl who rang me up at my local Barnes & Nobel when I purchased the first two IPB books, I was a little embarrassed that I was publicly buying smut for the first time. She took one look at my books and literally squealed. She then continued to gush about how great these books were and although she started reading them more as a joke she fell in love, a sentiment which I now totally share. We had so much fun discussing these books that the woman behind me in line chimed in and asked where she could find them then jogged off to grab herself a copy too.

Ice Planet Barbarians (Ice Planet Barbarians Book 1)

Hunkiedorië Review: This was my next step into the wonderful world of smut. The ICB books were popping up all over BookTok. I ordered the first two because at the time they were the only two with the new special edition covers, versus the outrageously cringe-y romance novel covers they originally had along with what the rest of the series is still rocking. But I flew through these, I wasn’t sure I could get on board with big blue alien men but oh my lanta, if it’s wrong I don’t want to be right. I was able to read these books so quickly, about 1-2 books a day. They are fast reads and pretty much the same plot over and over again, which I didn’t get tired of one bit. The Ice planet barbarian boys give off such golden retriever energy that you can’t help but simp over each and every tribesman. 10/10 would recommend, I am buying each paperback as it is released with their new covers. I couldn’t stand the tacky art of the others so the rest I have on my kindle which made it even easier to spread read through them when I could get my instant purchase at the click of a button at 3 am when I was ready to start the next book. It is important to note that the new special editions include some of the novellas, soon I will be releasing my notes on the ICB reading order.

Barbarian Alien (Ice Planet Barbarians Book 2)
