Hi, I’m Tina.
My full name is Kristina, but I have gone by my nickname, Tina most of my life. Tina was easier to say when I was grouped together with my twin sister, Diana: “Di and Tina”. Being a twin has gone on to be my inspiration for my social media handle: T Fit Twin!
I’m just a regular human, trying to better myself each day and I am so excited to be a part of the Hunkiedoriee team! In this blog, I’ll be sharing my experience, tips, and favorites for fitness and travel. My goal is to inspire you to get out of your comfort zone, put yourself first, love who you are, and live a happier life.
Some of my favorite things besides traveling and fitness, are coffee, fashion, red wine, the ocean, dogs, steak, smiling, sleeping in, talking.
I currently live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, yes, I’m somewhat of a cheesehead now, with my husband Adam and our dog, a golden retriever named Cooper. I grew up near St. Paul, Minnesota, before moving to Eau Claire, Wisconsin for college. Most of my friends and family still live in Minnesota and I now have six nieces and nephews there, so I try to visit as often as I can.
I have always enjoyed math and business and so upon graduation, I secured a job working in the health actuarial consulting industry. I’m still working on obtaining my professional actuarial designation. This requires A LOT of studying and exams. Nine professional exams in all plus a bunch of other modules/coursework. Therefore, much of my free time is spent studying. However, a few other things I prioritize are traveling and working out.

When I was in college I studied abroad in Australia and fell in love with the place. Gorgeous beaches, amazing food, the friendliest people, and the best accents ever what’s not to love? I have since been back to visit three times. Australia will always be my favorite, but most of the time I try to go to new places and get a unique cultural experience. Some of my most interesting and exciting trips have been to India (for a friend’s wedding), Thailand, New Zealand, Hungary, Italy, and Germany. My dream destination is the Maldives, if it’s not already obvious I love beaches and hot weather!

Growing up I was always active. I played sports (volleyball and fastpitch) through high school and intramurals in college. I also really enjoyed weightlifting but got out of the practice during college, like many young people school and my social life took over. About a year ago, I decided I was regressing, in terms of nutrition, fitness, and overall health. I had gained too much weight, I had become very inactive working at a desk job 40+ hours per week, and was becoming unhappy with myself.
I took action – found myself a coach, cleaned up my diet, and began to work out consistently. I fell in love with the energy boost, physical and mental improvements, stress relief, and newfound excitement that weight lifting (and fitness) has given me. I also enjoy mixing up my workouts – from kayaking to kickboxing to aerial yoga to hiking to HITT workouts, you’ll find me trying out new activities!
