Ma has made this for years and I never had any interest in trying due to my dislike for beer. This year as I was making our Saint Patrick’s Day dinner I knew that this was a must. I was amazed by how easy it was to make and how delicious it was! 


  • 3 Cups self rising flour
  • 3 T. Sugar
  • 1 Can beer (room temp)


  1. Mix together flour, sugar and beer
  2. Place dough in a heavily greased loaf pan and bake at 350°F  for one hour.
  3. Remove from oven and brush with butter immediately.
