I think I have found my newest “happy place”! A few weeks back my mom and I had an adventure day and went out to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. This place is absolutely stunning and I have already convinced myself that I will be getting a membership next year. With over 400,000 visitors per year the staff at The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum work like a well oiled machine. They boast more than 1,200 acres of gardens and tree collections, prairie and woods and miles of trails it will take a couple of visits see it all, but it is constantly changing for the seasons so every trip is a brand new experience. We spent most of the day there and barely saw a fraction of the property.
Mom’s favorite is always the Japanese gardens and I got to indulge my inner chef walking through the kitchen gardens! We also took their three mile drive when we started to run out of steam. I can’t wait to go back and see more of the grounds. Maybe I will have to brush up on my bike skills and try pedaling my way through next time.
There are always new events and activities that you can take part in as well as a wonderful shop in their Visitor Center. You can sit in the beautiful Anderson Horticultural Library or take part in their Walks and Tours. They also serve as an event space. While we were there we saw dozens of weddings taking throughout the gardens. Complete with a restaurant and art gallery there is a little bit of something for everyone.

I am from the Twin Cities too! I love finding other MN bloggers, and can’t wait to keep following your blog! I have never been to the Landscape Arboretum but have always heard great things- think it’s time I finally make that trip!

That looks really beautiful and impressive as well! For the people who work there it’s like ‘maintaining’ a work of art…
