#WESUMMERFUN

I recently discovered a new website called Live&LoveMN and it has quickly become my newest obsession. Live&LoveMN is a great place to find out what is going on in the Twin Cities. You can find everything from restaurants and classes to music and festivals on this site. Not only that but they also have a great shop with tons of items to show your MN pride. When I discovered the website through Instagram I spent most of the afternoon checking out what events were going on near me. The site mentioned a Make & Take Class at West Elm Edina which sounded right up my alley! I invited my friend Cassie, creator of HalfAssChicCrafts, to join me.

This was my first visit to the West Elm store and let me tell you it was love at first sight! It was such inspiration overload it was hard for me to focus on anyone thing for too long. The staff was so friendly and welcoming I could have stayed there forever.

During our class we learned how to make Grapefruit Centerpieces from Jerrod Scott who has now become my new Yoda. He has the life and career I have always dreamed of and was so kind to share his knowledge and experience with those attending the class. We also learned how to make a Coconut Grapefruit Sugar Scrub & a Lavender Bath Salt from radio personality Alexis Thompson. She was so fun and down to earth and was such a wonderful teacher during our class.

The evening featured amazing photography by the talented Katie Fears. And featured amazing treats from local companies such as JonnyPops and Isadore Nut Company. Throughout the night we were encouraged to share our experiences on social media using the hashtag #wesummerfun. Later in the evening Jerrod and Alexis reviewed all the social media posts and handed out prizes as well as drawing names for gift cards and prizes from many of the local vendors featured throughout the evening.

I had such a wonderful time at the Make and Take Summer Fun Event hosted by West Elm Edina. I will definitely be keeping an eye on the West Elm Edina and Live&LoveMN for more events and opportunities to get out and try something new and I would encourage you to do the same.
