Lainie’s Bar Cart

I have always been in love with the fun DIY bar carts that are ever-present on just about every social media platform. I’ve wanted one of my own for a long time, but I’m not willing to pay $70+ for something I’m sure I could make myself. Last spring I was thrilled when I finally came across one at my local Goodwill for seven dollars.

The best part about this bar cart is that it required little to no work to fix it up. I simply washed it and painted it a warmer shade of gold. The glass bottoms of each tray popped out, which made painting the cart itself very easy.

My favorite part of this project was staging it all. I got almost all the items from the Goodwill. On the bar cart I included the following:

This is by far one of my favorite projects I have ever done. At the time I didn’t have a place for it so I gave it to my friend Lainie as a house warming gift. She has never been a big fan of loud colors so I made sure to use only black, white and gold within the cart. I am always excited when I go to visit and I get to see this little project sitting in her beautiful home. Ever since I gave it away I have been scouring The Goodwill and other thrift stores for another opportunity to make one for myself. Stay tuned to see if I ever manage to find my own.
